Biography
McGavinn has deep ties to Southern Kentucky. He grew up on a family farm in Simpson County, he graduated from Franklin-Simpson High School, and his mother, Kelly Brown, taught at the Franklin-Simpson Middle School for well over thirty years.
After graduating first in his class from Western Kentucky University, McGavinn moved south for law school, to the University of Alabama in beautiful Tuscaloosa (Roll Tide). He graduated second in his class at Alabama.
McGavinn then spent two years in public service. He spent one year as a law clerk to The Honorable L. Scott Coogler, Chief Judge of the United States District for the Northern District of Alabama, and he spent one year as a law clerk to The Honorable Eugene E. Siler, Jr., Senior Circuit Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Following his two years of public service, McGavinn returned home-to Southern Kentucky-to plant his roots, serve his community, and start practicing law.
Even though he dabbles in a bit of everything, McGavinn primarily practices in the areas of personal injury, civil litigation, and criminal appeals.
McGavinn is excited to be home, back with friends and family and a familiar community. If you need any help or want a free consultation, call McGavinn at 270-782-8160 or email him at [email protected]
